About PhilaFunk Live

         Philafunk Live (PFL) is an independent artist concert hall located in the Bell Telephone Exchange (Listed in the National Register of Historic Places) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. PFL is dedicated to finding, supporting and promoting the best independent musicians, of all genres, in the country. Every week 12-15 independent original rock, hip hop, metal, indie and jam bands from all over the country come to play. We like all kinds of music. We might have a Gospel concert on Friday, Metal show on Saturday and Jazz show on Sunday and we've booked enough shows to know and present good gospel, metal and jazz. We professionally record most of our shows and will soon bring them to you in High Definition Wide Screen. If you cannot attend the show, relax. We will bring the excitement of attending our live concert to your TV, cell phone or computer. All of our videos are mixed and mastered for home entertainment listening.
        Philafunk Live is unique. It has a 3,000 square foot live performance hall, 1,000 square foot live performance room, world class audio recording studios, state of the art mixing and mastering suite and video editing suite all under one roof. There is no place like it. The building is one of the oldest telephone company buildings in the world. It is 105 years old.
        We have shows every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All shows are all ages and BYOB for the 21 and older. Family Fridays will start in April 2008.
